License agreement

You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using Four Winds. By using this software you indicate your acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.

Registered version

One registered copy of Four Winds may either be used by a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, but not both. Lagarto is not obligated to provide maintenance or update versions of Four Winds, but registered version entitles the license owner to use free of charge any 2.x versions available on the Four Winds web site at http://www.4windsmj.com.

The registration information along with instructions for downloading the full version of the program will be sent to the email address given in the order form normally within 24 hours from the time the order was placed.

Disclaimer of warranty

This software and the accompanying files are sold “as is” and without warranties as to performance of merchantability or any other warranties whether expressed or implied. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. Any liability of the seller will be limited exclusively to refund of purchase price.

As a rule we do not make refunds after the registration key and download information is submitted. Please use the evaluation version available at http://www.4inwdsmj.com/downloads01.htm to ensure that the program runs on your system and that it meets your expectations. (Note that the evaluation version is an early 2.x version and the current version has several feature enhancements and bug fixes.)

Safe Purchase Guaranteed

While Four Winds web site uses data encryption protocol (https), the domain itself does not have a dedicated SSL installed. All payment information, however, is entered in forms on the servers of the payment providers (PayPal and Stripe) and fully secured at highest standards. No payment related information is entered, processed or stored on the 4windsmj.com domain, and all credit card related information entered in the forms of PayPal and Stripe will be discarded after the transaction.

Use of cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a Web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.

Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. Users choosing not to accept cookies will not be able to go through the ordering process.

The cookies are used during the online ordering process to save temporarily information related to the order, but the data is strictly impersonal and does not include any customer information. After the transaction is completed all commerce related cookies are deleted.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you create an account on our site and you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Use of customer information

Information related to the credit card is used only during the transaction and is deleted immediately as the transaction is completed. Customer information related to the order (name, address, e-mail postal address, telephone number) are saved in our customer database on a secure server and no information whatsoever is given to third parties.

The information is used to register your rights, if any, to technical support, upgrades, or other benefits that may be made available to registered users.

If you leave a comment on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service on servers reside outside of Europe.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
