Using the power save scheme

When you run Four Winds on a battery operated computer, you can turn on power saving scheme. When enabled, the program uses less processor intensive methods in animation and other timer related operations (but might result in slightly more unresponsive behavior e.g. when accessing menus during tile animation).

To turn on or off the power save scheme:
  1. Choose Preferences on the File menu.
  2. Choose General under the User Interface section in the category tree of the Preferences dialog box.
  3. Click the User power save scheme box to enable or disable this feature
