Scoring variations

Paying method – Only add up scores

This rule option is rarely used, but it is suitable for family games. The total scores for hands are simply added up and no payments are done between players. All other payment options are automatically disabled, but you can enable double payments for East, if desired. The total scores for losers are added up, as well, provided that the rules specify scoring assignments for losers. Penalties are simply reduced from the total score, not paid between players.

To enable adding-up of scores:
  1. Choose Preferences on the File menu.
  2. Choose a customized rule preset from the Rule presets list.
  3. Choose Payments under the Scoring section in the category tree of the Preferences dialog box.
  4. From the Pay method drop-down list, choose Only add up scores.
